I find it amusing that pay-to-play and pay-to-win are finally entering the colloquial on the political system. I've been using that terminology and characterization of the system's failures for years now. I think this concept is very clear, straightforward, and easy to interpret

Yes Tulsi! We need $ out of politics! We need politicians endebted ro small $ donations/the people and not beholden to big $/corporations, lobbyists, foreign govt's, etc.. we need a politician like you, you have my $support!

The very *least* we should expect from our politicians is that they don’t take legalized bribes from big/dark/corporate donors. This is my #1 issue - w/o $$ out of politics, we will never see meaningful change on any other issue or policy.

Better to legalize and formalize bribery so everyone can know who is bribing whom and what they are paying for. The next step is to let people sue politicians for not holding up their end of a deal.

Right direction... Limiting campaign donations will only give an extra advantage to the status quo. The more important aspect is transparency. Make dark money illegal. Make them wear jackets that look like NASCARs. Big donor=big logo on jacket. So we can see who each one serves

¹Complete transparency of campaign finance (end dark money), ²prohibit gerrymandering, ³term limits, and ⁴stop the corrupt duopoly of Ds & Rs that prevent third party and independent candidates reasonable access to ballots and debates. Our political system needs overhauled!
