Because they don't want to be the next Libya, the next Iraq or next Afghanistan ....or the next Venezuela.

You gotta think of it from their point of view. Why should they give their nukes up if we don’t give up ours?
-
It's not just about that, but about gaining their trust that we will not violently topple the Kim regime. If we end regime change wars in the world, then we end the need for NK to have a nuclear deterrent.

The priority should be peace on the peninsula, not denuclearization. DPRK should be allowed a nuclear deterrent for as long as the US is a credible threat.

Ask Iraq,Libya,Afghanistan what happens if you don't have nukes

You can add Venezuela to that list. Unfortunately a growing list.

For the same reason the US clings to its nukes.

Few understand what Gaddafi really did for his country. We must question mainstream media's coverage over the years. American wars use to attack communism, now that communism is dead, it is attacking basic socialism.https://www.globalresearch.ca/libya-ten-things-about-gaddafi-they-dont-want-you-to-know/5414289 …

How else can small countries avoid being assailed by swaggering bullies like the US. There’s have been no Iraq war had America really believed they had nukes. Gaddafi would not have been publicly butchered and the country left in ruins. Venezuela would be safe from America.
-
Of course, Israel has nukes and gets bulk US military aid, despite systemstic war crimes. Go figure.

It is so refreshing to see a US politician who finally understands the bigger picture like this and dares to speak up again your own military. I have so much respect for you.

Great job Tulsi, but... You do know that the French Air Force was the first attacking Libya, for good reason:https://www.theguardian.com/world/2018/mar/20/nicolas-sarkozy-police-custody-french-president-campaign-funding-libya …
