It is a great story and these women deserve to be recognized . I’m a big fan of Elon Musk and how he puts his engineers on the space x webcasts . It really shows the diversity of his team .

Believe it or not Katherine Johnson, was actually bi or multiracial. People think Michael Healy was black too (US Coast Guard officer). I grew up in the 60's, because of my dark complexion as a young boy, people would call me and sister n---ers, but wasn't black though.

Also, there is a lot of internalized racism going on today for sure, you can tell because of the firm belief in raist hypodescent. White Natvs calling other White dergogatory slurs, 40% of black parents want to adopt light , pretty/clean looking babies are a couple examples.

Hope this is not taken the wrong way, but it could be noted that NASA has thus far achieved complete and total 'racial equality' ('sexual equality' too) when it comes to those who've landed on the moon!

Don't all people overcome to reach heights, would she have made her achievements without 1000 other nameless "hidden" people who go about there days never to be mentioned causes there skin colour is a little pale or the gender is not noteworthy enough to be made into a movie.

Read the book, you'll find they were invisible, hidden for decades. Segregated from their white counterparts who were barely visible themselves. Had Margot Lee Shetterly not dug and dug to research them,they would have been lost to history as many no doubt haveb been
