Net Neutrality protects us from corporate censorship of information. The FCC's obligation is to the people. We want an equal, open internet. #NetNeutralitypic.twitter.com/UzjsEHX2dQ

"Net Neutrality protects us from corporate censorship of information." WTF? Not even close, unless we can bring net neutrality to the social network layer, not merely the lower network layer.

You would still need some agreed upon organizing of frequencies or it would be like removing lane markers, signs, and traffic lights from the road.

I am pretty sure the big Tech companies have already mastered censorship via search algorithms and "community standards". @LegendaryEnergy

Big tech certainly has control over the data that flows through their system but net neutrality is meant to protect things at the level of the internet service provider. What we don't want is something comparable to China's government run "Great Firewall"

The biggest offenders against the Open Internet (Google, Facebook, Apple etc.) have their own infrastructure, and they no longer subject to Net Neutrality regulations. Their bribes to politicians to re-establish Net Neutrality is to trip up competition. Don't take their bribes.

Corporate censorship is censorship by corporations. It is when a spokesperson, employer, or business associate sanctions a speaker's speech by threat of monetary loss, employment loss, or loss of access to the marketplace. It is present in many different kinds of industries.

If an ISP did censor parts of the internet from their customers they would have to be transparent about this. An internet company who’s anti-freedom is not going to keep its customers.
