Imagine the possibilities of permaculture and local, organic family farms across the country. It all can be done, but we need a grand vision, collective will and tax incentives to make it a reality. Good for the earth, good for humans, bad for big agro!

If
@AOC wants a#GreenNewDeal that a broad spectrum of the electorate can get behind, she would do well to educate herself on the profound potential of regenerative agriculture.

@TulsiGabbard first step is to roll back the current subsidies that artificially float the agrichemical complex. -
I could be extremely wrong here, but this is not THE ISSUE that will electrify the populism and unite across the spectrum. I freely admit that it could be my personal political agenda driving my opinion.

holy shit this is a breath of fresh air!!!! Im stunned you're talking about this!
@Cori__Paige -
It really is good to have someone talk about reviving ecosystems rather than saying "meat bad" reflexively. And I'm not a fan of Gabbard on all policy. Also note that she is a Hindu, which means she probably doesn't eat beef and she of all ppl is saying this.

Absolutely. We need to build soil as fast as we can. Time to cancel student loans for young farmers and rework the Farm Bill so that it doesn't subsidize the worst of the agribusiness conglomerates.
-
This is absolutely true. Big agribusiness concerns have been gobbling up subsidies meant for family farmers.

#GMOs aren't the problem. Neither is nuclear energy. It's unfortunate that the Green Movement is more poetry than real science.

Regenerative agriculture is profitable for farmers while protecting the environment, allowing reduced agrochemical use while increasing sustainability and land productivity. It's a flexible solution for each individual farmer and location.

Make small family farms great again!

Make small family farms AFFORDABLE again! lol! Most of us live in tract housing now, unable to grow our own food, sad. I'd love to live off the land myself, but my HOA won't let me! Time for government intervention I think.

Regenerative Ag is my thing, I have been studying nonstop for years. Bought a couple hundred acres in Colorado to test it out. We are ordering thousands of trees and going to move livestock between the rows of trees. Cattle, then sheep, then fowl all on a 3 day rotation.

Best of luck to you!!! Sounds fantastic to me. Let some native weeds grow also and then till them under, unless youre planning on just allowing the animals to eat them.
