The most important of all domestic issues is peace. Because in order to fund the domestic programs that are so desperately needed, we need to end regime change wars, the new Cold War and the new nuclear arms race.pic.twitter.com/j5hEuiSpDN

We need the “peace dividend” that comes from reinvesting the trillions of dollars spent on those wars into our communities here at home. That's why as president my first and foremost mission will be to work for peace.

The phrase "peace dividend" is perfect. Too many people care mostly about their pocketbooks, If you can help them see that peace will positively effect their pocketbooks, you'll come a long way in convincing them to support you. http://parvisani.com

Thirty years ago as the cold war ended there was the promise of a "peace dividend" then and the end of the arms race. Sadly the last three decades have shown that those in government in Europe and the USA had no intention of giving us that. Credit to you for pushing this.

This is true, but you can't "reinvest" the wealth we have already spent. The wars must stop, and then the debts from them paid off.

5 billion spent on homelessness and homeless vets. 700 billion spent on a bloated military industrial complex budget. Give more to vets? Or more to the overcharging greedy military industry? Hmmm no brainier??!

Realistically, how much peace dividend do you think there could be on an annualized basis? We spend $600B per year on the military. M4A (Sanders bill) will cost 7x that amount.

          – We've spent 5.9 trillion on war since 9/11. – A trillion is 1000 billion or a Million Million. – #MedicareForAll would save billions on health care over the next 10 years Remember the costs of #Medicare4All replace our current costs not increase them.pic.twitter.com/37q8g5QjZ7

That's what they all say during campaigns. Why I feel Tulsi may not be different is that she does not point out facts like illegal presence of US military in Syria
