We need the “peace dividend” that comes from reinvesting the trillions of dollars spent on those wars into our communities here at home. That's why as president my first and foremost mission will be to work for peace.

The majority of the US wants Medicare for All, affordable education, & the means to address climate change and rebuild our crumbling infrastructure. Many candidates in 2020 will promise these things. But these promises will not become a reality until we have this peace dividend.

The only way to fund these domestic programs is to end regime-change wars, say no to the new Cold War, and say no to the nuclear arms race. And that’s why I'm running for president.

We must repurpose the Military Industrial Complex and its immense resources to fight the climate crisis—Americans' safety is their core mission & there is no greater threat. It's the most rational course of action and a politically winning idea.http://bit.ly/2VumnQ0

Amazing how much of the climate catastrophe owes to the US's industrial-strength militarization from World War II on. When future archaelogists examine the stratum of our era, there'll be a clear line in the soil where radioactive isotopes, plastics, concrete, etc. appear.

You should really consider tying climate change/Green New Deal in to this as well considering our military is one of the world’s largest polluters.

I second this.

No one, absolutely no one is addressing the important issues highlighting your campaign. I've been waiting since I was a boy listening to
#JFK for someone to say what is required of us as a nation. Your changes for domestic & foreign policy are desperately needed.#Tulsi2020Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

To be fair, with climate change set to end our world within 70 years or so, wars have become passé. There is no longer any point to them, or to further development of arsenals, nuclear or other.
-
So let’s turn all of our excess military spending into investments in green energy infrastructure, win win.

I 100% agree with this. The establishment on both sides are war-hungry and it is unfair to the people of our country and the people where we decide to wage our next war.
