Amazon reported a $129 million tax REBATE on $11.2 billion in profit last year, making their tax rate -1%. Meanwhile, working Americans are seeing their tax refunds drying up. We need an economy that works for all people. Not just Jeff Bezos.https://tulsi.to/2UWkFWG

How many people does Amazon employ that pay taxes? How many jobs would be lost at Amazon and other companies if tax laws were changed? Shld this not be part of the conversation? Isn't it important to remember that companies dont exist for government's sake?

Look at GM. What are all those workers saying now? What are those communities saying now? The dependence on large corporations is dangerous.

They're laying people off. They are displacing people in Seattle and their homeless numbers increased. Amazon needs to pay taxes just like any small business owner has.

Everyone at that level of wealth, power and influence must dance with the Deep State. That’s how they rise. They’re either all the way in or they are OUT. We have to ask ourselves if people of ambition and talent have any real alternative these days? And that’s the real tragedy!

You believe the billionaires are a class in need of protection of some sort? You believe 'class warfare' is an legitimate issue? Or, is it a just buzzword to keep the 99% fighting among their own socioeconomic peers?

It would really be informative if we had a figure of the total amount in assistance given to Amazon employees from state/local/federal agencies in 2018, just so they could survive. I’m guessing it’s way more than $129M. Either way, it should become a standard metric.
