When our insects die, we all die. There's a mass die-off of insects like bees due to heavy pesticide & intensive agricultural practices. We must support small farmers so they can grow diverse crops without reliance on heavy pesticides. Our lives & national security are at stake.

In Bavaria/Germany we have now signed a petition to put the bees on topic in parliament of the federal state. I think you should do similar level on federal level in the USA.

You tie your message to economic value figures for the US, when the topic is really about the endgame for bees and consequently humanity. This is immensely larger than US agriculture.

This. The mass die-off of insects needs to be topic #1 for a while, until we understand it and remedy the issue. A good start? Ban any new pesticides or application methods developed over the past 20 years. Just stop digging that hole.

You may very well know of Dahr Jamial, but the last segment (at the 33:00 mark) scared the bejeebus out of me. https://www.democracynow.org/shows/2019/2/12  I agree @cannoncocker111 - and the segment suggests as much that we are well beyond fail safe.

Eat certified organic, it’s good for you and the insects. Also DO NOT buy Roundup or any other insecticides. No bug sprays for inside your homes either. We’ve known all of this for years. Read Rachel Carson “The Silent Spring”

it's a fundamental component to the ecology. The industrial practices that annihilate them are also degrading the soils and turning them to deserts. If all the soil goes, we all die.
