This is a bad take. What is happening in Venezuela is not a “regime change”. It is helping their actual government processes work. They had an improper election and Guido is an Interim President calling for new elections, not looking to run the government. Not the same.

Sarah you do know the US has never taken any oil, not a drop from countries we we intervened in, right. If you don’t know that I suggest you educate yourself. Bytheway I agree we shouldn’t be intervening militarily.

Washington's swamp is still full of the war makers behind US Dirty Wars in Latin America. Until these ppl are removed from seats of influence the wars will continue:https://mastersofdeception.wordpress.com/2013/07/18/masters-of-deception-chapter-fourteen/ …

I do know that Reagan's intervention in Granada was a blessing to the people (got friends from Granada), and removal of drug trafficing General Noriega in Panama by Bush #1 was also a positive outcome. So it CAN work sometimes. But there have been many, many failures too.
-
The intervention in 1991 by Bush Sr in the Persian-Gulf did achieve positive outcome also. But the occupation of the US troops afterwards in Gulf countries, especially in Saudi Arabia was the actual reason behind 9/11. So the US must always remember that occupation by the US...

Thank you,
@TulsiGabbard, for opposing unlimited militarism & the reactionary mentality it fosters in domestic American politics -
Stand passively on the sidelines? There is a clear right and wrong in this situation. HandsOffVenezuela would be similar to HandsOffGermany pre WWII. Thousands are dying and starving.

Trump has capitulated to the Neocons and war in Venezuela, the only question remaining is whether he will use US troops possibly drawn in through a false flag event.
-
Trump is a complete dunce on foreign policy Jim. If there's oil in it, okay, otherwise forget it. Tillerson called him a moron about this. He is right. An amoral moron & business thug. What he has in common w/ the neocons is this greed aspect. They want US hegemony, he wants oil.

We are not doing any regime change by force. We are asking the military to defect. There is a difference.

It’s meddling. It’s a regional issue for Columbia and other nations.
