This is why our military stance needs to change under Tulsi. This is what she is describing. Peace through strength. Coming to the table with allies and enemies and avoiding war, doing what we can to avoid committing troops to another costly battlefield that does not protect us.

Can't help but think that Trump would do a lot better making peace with Iran and defusing all the tensions instead of the constant threats in the interest of Saudi and Israel. At least Iran might be more helpful in making the ME more peaceful than Israel or Saudi Arabia can.

I've thought this for a long time. While Iran might have some dangerous people in charge of their government(and so do we at the moment) the population as a whole would seem much more natural allies for us than the Saudis. I'd open up trade & appeal to the people.
