Lots of opinions here, but no solutions. I'm the first to say I don't have answers. Not an advocate of the wall, but it's something. Taxpayers paying the salaries of elected government officials who have no accountability, just rhetoric.

Wall is nothing other than another boon to rich & elites. Anyone can build a taller ladder system to defeat it. Only technology incl. drones can be a cost-effective, easy to instal & maintain solution if you just must bully all problems. Long-term is to treat causes of poverty!

There are still homeless and working poor who are food-challenged daily that can benefit from this food if and when it is not all distributed to gov't workers and their families. We were a great country long before Trump and God willing will continue to be when he is out of WH.

I’m not taking sides to the ‘senseless shutdown’ but lets step back 20 years-EACH person at the Capitol & presidents have wasted tax payers money bc it’s not theirs, pretending ‘debating’ immigration and gotten zero results. Hard working
have been paying. Accountability!!! -
Character is apparently not plentiful in politics or gov't at any level. Sad because there will be no faith from the public until basic minimum honor is evidenced. We voters need to elect those with a vested interest in being honorable leaders! Remove corrupt, gangsters, thieves!

Me, too! No physical wall! There are many technical solutions that will also require maintenance, & won't cost an estimated $25B. Absurd waste of $$ no matter the need. Over 200 yrs without a wall says much to reasonable, rational people long before 45! Vote sanity & compromise!
