People need to pay for childcare and transportation on top of rent, food, and medical expenses. This is not a game. #EndTheShutdownhttps://on9news.tv/2ADeIWG

End the Patriot Act. Ends so many abusive programs of the government. Put money spent on those programs into things that actually matter like clean potable water for Flint and many other places in the nation.

Great opportunity to abolish the TSA Tulsi! An awful socialist jobs program that routinely abuses the constitutional rights of the taxpayers. They’re better off flipping burgers.
-
Actually, not socialist. Actually driven by the Corporatocacy that are buying the GOP. But, I agree, good time to canx TSA. Just like the Recession was the perfect time to nationalize GM BofA, Chase...

Sorry, but I have no sympathy for the TSA. This agency should be abolished.

The TSA should be abolished.

Perhaps, I don't know, but that will not help the people working for them now who have to pay their bills and feed their families.

I think I'm slow on this but I just realized Trump wants a wall so he has a vain monument in his name paid by taxpayers. Just like the shafted investors on his properties. "They'll call it the Trump Wall".

Exactly. Fund the wall and get them back to work.
-
Then we can have fun tearing it all back down in 2020. Sounds like a plan.

Apples and oranges...which of those scenarios requires a person to come in and work without pay? That violin might as well be playing just for your lack of reasoning and reading comprehension skills.

Stop expecting me to fee bad for people that know how government works & runs the books yet decide to expect a paycheck from it anyway. This isn't the first shut down and as the debt situation spirals further it won't be the last and it only gets worse from here.
-
I’m sure you have never been required to work for free.

Perhaps more accurately, the shutdown is “costly” and a threat to the well being and safety of US citizens. If there is an emergency it is one being perpetrated by a “domestic enemy” in the name of protecting US against foreign ones. When is “self harm” ever a good thing?
