What if the mission or objective was to not murder innocent people and destroy their whole world for years on end when you had no business being there in the first place?
The underlying problem is that for too long our leaders have had no clear direction or objective when it comes to foreign policy. So without a clear mission and objective, it’s impossible to know whether any particular decision will help us achieve that mission.

For starters how about we reinstate the Constitution that says only Congress can declare war!? That way the national debate about what the hell you plan to do is well defined before you do it. This "make it up as we go", and years long quagmires is a disgrace! WAR IS A RACKET!
