To protect Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid from the gutting the GOP has planned

Because I feel so helpless in this country and only a very few politicians have good intentions & integrity, so I have to show up & vote for those special few. And because this country has been going in the wrong direction since at least Reagan and I don’t know what else to do

You're not the only one. A good fraction of americans think the new deal didn't go far enough, and that this crony capitalism is the worst way to go. Democratic Socialists of America is working to change it through economic justice firstly. Our web sitehttps://www.dsausa.org/

It's not. Writing someone's name down on a piece of paper doesn't give me the moral license to use violence to interfere with and manipulate the lives of people I've never met, even if a system they never explicitly consented to says it's ok.

1/x B/c I am compelled as a citizen. I do it for self-respect & to support a vision for something better for all. In 2016, I wrote Bernie in-I couldn't bring myself to support HRC warmongering. Been voting since this way since1980 when the Dems gave up supporting the New Deal.
-
2/x I realized in 2004 that the fallout of the 2000 travesty was not the Dems fighting harder, but changing tactics. Now they wanted campaign support more than my vote. That's the moment democracy actually died. (Along w/Al Gore not challenging GOP voter suppression in Florida)

To protect women’s right to choose what to do with their bodies. To protect voting rights. To protect people with preexisting medical conditions. To protect the right to love and marry who you choose. To protect immigrants. To be a more loving, compassionate America.
