Repeal the "exception clause" in the 13th amendment that legalizes forced labor of convicts. Take the profit out of the Prison System. Cut off Congressional funding for for-profit prisons. Make forced labor in prisons illegal.

Prisoners are slave labor for the now privately owned system which is triple dipping our tax system (subsidies/various tax credits). In their opinions potheads are a much easier work force to manage than the murders and rapists.

Once again, on this particular issue, I agree with you 100%. Making a felon out of someone for simply smoking pot is WRONG, period. We need to end the war on drugs.

It's time we legalized ALL drugs and treated addiction as a health issue, as well as recognizing that all drugs are not equal - I need a prescription for LSD/shrooms.

The schedule 1 designation of marijuana is just ignorant, archaic, and unjust if the government is truly being scientific.

I since the costs of Private Prisons are maintained by tax payers anyway, I suggest we Eminent domain them, and start ejecting people who should have been released long ago, as well as diminishing the # of Prisons until we squash the slave business.

Reform is even more critical at the state level. Those with behavioral health issues are not provided meaningful treatment opportunities outside of the costly criminal justice system. Almost 3/4 of those incarcerated in #Hawaii are Class C felony or lower. #cjreform

Government is in the pockets of the prison unions. The minute the prison unions end all prohibition goes away. No reason to imprison folks smoking heroin, open clinics. Make legal, tax... regulate. I'm an old punned broken record.......... yawn. Wake me up when prohibition ends.
