.@GovHawaii: In 2017, you signed a bill into law that allowed those with lupus, epilepsy, rheumatoid arthritis, & multiple sclerosis to access medical marijuana, which is legal in Hawaii. Why veto SB2407 now & exclude the many in our state who are suffering from opioid addiction?

You apparently are relying on other’s to feed your inaccurate narrative . There’s nothing other than weak correlational evidence, rather than actual proof that there are any benefits to medical marijuana in treating opioid addiction. In other words marijuana is not the answer .

Kratom treats opiod addictions, so let's not let the DEA criminalize it. But weed makes it so people don't turn to opiods for pain relief, so let's not demonize it. I get your point (hence my kratom point), but it misses the fact that if weed was legal, opioids wouldn't matter.

States that have either legalized marijuana or for medical use have between a 25% and 33% lower death rate among opiate users of any kind (prescription or street). Pot doesn’t kill but alcohol sure does.
