Why are elections still held during the week when it's hardest for people to vote? We introduced a bipartisan bill with 95 cosponsors called the Weekend Voting Act which would make it so people don't have to choose between work/school or engaging in our democracy. #ElectionDay

We could begin the process by refusing to privatize our election security and move to a single standard for entire country. I'm guessing
@DARPA could help us out with it. I would give a DNA sample at this point if it meant my vote was sure to be quickly and accurately counted.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I also agree. Given the documented issues with voter purges by government employees, uncounted or rejected paper ballots as well as a host of other issues I believe a more modern mechanism should be considered. Secure log in systems are unlikely to be compromised 350 mil times.

Not having online voting means that your ballot box loses 40-60% of the votes to apathy. Who can trust such poor election security?

And that is precisely why you're being primaried, because you're speaking common sense and those that benefit from the current system don't like that.

Open primaries concern me. I’m not too keen on the idea of Republicans picking a Democrat candidate.
