We need to investigate the failures that occurred here, causing such massive loss of life in the days/weeks/months after the hurricanes hit. It is outrageous that there was not a house-to-house rescue/recovery effort, esp in rural communities, leaving many dead and undiscovered.
When Harvard/NYT play games w/ death tolls, I'd recommend examining the "facts" very closely. The MEs in PR have issued their official death tolls, nowhere near Harvard nbrs. PR had lousy electric infrastructure heading into 2 back-to-back hurricanes. It wasn't going to go well.
