The same type of tech uses for its space flights is now powered by #propane to create electricity for homes. Just like NASA drives advances in science to enhance stewardship of the Earth, researchers at have a similar mission: cutting GHG emissions by 50%.

A reminder that diversifying energy resources is key to remaining #resilient in vulnerable circumstances. #Propane already does this for many communities in the U.S. by providing reliable and clean backup power to renewables.

Glad to see fellow climate advocate explain in how relying solely on renewables & electricity is dangerous. We cannot risk our lives on one source of energy, or even a few. Only a robust mix gives us the best chance of #resiliency.

Because NY's electricity is primarily produced by nat gas, propane is actually lower in carbon intensity versus the grid, and will keep getting cleaner with renewable sources. Does NYC’s proposal to require 100% electric buses by 2035 make sense?

I agree with that grid independence is key. Propane works with renewables like solar to keep the power on regardless of the grid's status and the sun shining. Many already use these systems today, ready for the next storm.

As COP26 wraps up, 1 thing is clear: Short-term plans are not meeting long-term promises. Many renewable energies are still far from being scalable and affordable. We must use clean resources available now, like propane, to help get us to net zero on time.

At #COP26, let’s hope leaders keep all solutions in mind. We have no use for a silver bullet – we need a silver buckshot approach instead. We must put every available decarbonization strategy, imperfect as they all are, to work immediately. That will get results. #cleanenergy
