With all the success you've been having bisecting LEDs while keeping them functional, you should start selling 'em for "half-off"!
What's the point of a bicolor LED?
They work with both polarity. I use them to test crazy clock controllers. Because Lavet stepper movements require pulses in opposing polarity, bicolor LEDs will alternate blinking green and red when hooked up where the coil would be.
wait, does... does this use only two leads, and use current direction to pick the color? Do all bi-color LEDs do that?
I'm sure there are exceptions, but for the most part, yes, that's how they work.
