More often than not when I need to grab someone who works for me for a brief moment it is because *I need help*. I make sure to ask for help instead of saying “can I have a brief chat”
This is beautiful. But imo some managers see this as a sign of weakness and would rather make subordinates feel at fault somehow for not having the answers.
