I hope you get to sit next to each other. Hannah and I always check in asap, but months in advance - there really isn't an excuse not to rectify the situation.
Yeah, it wouldn't let us check in yesterday so we called to see what was up and they removed our seats to fix the check-in issue at which point someone else booked our seats and now they said we're out of luck... and we get whatever is leftover which is just a few middle seats.
yeeeaaaahhhh, not acceptable. A similar situation occurred to us and they upgraded us to make amends. @LATAMAirlinesUS fixing this special situation shouldn't be too difficult.
