Many Players are more price sensitive than prize. So when one site starts spamming super cheap tournaments, the other sites have no choice but to do something similar. It's not as simple as just run less tournaments. More casual players would prefer paying less than large prizes.
It's a matter of finding a balance between the casual and higher competitive communities. We're trying to find that balance while the industry continues to shift on priorities. We as an industry will get there, it just may take some time.

Oh I know the challenges, and you nailed it on the head of pricing. Those doing lower are spamming tournaments causing this issue of player being in multiple tournaments at once.
