This past weekend, 2 deputy sheriffs were ambushed while sitting in their patrol car in CA, suffering multiple gunshots before being rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. I wholeheartedly condemn this violent attack. My prayers are with these officers and their families.
This ambush of police should disturb us all. Sickeningly, protesters attempted to block the ambulance's entrance to the hospital, chanting, “We hope they die,” about the officers, one of whom is the mother of a 6-year-old boy.
Wishing and causing harm against police officers has to stop. It seems now that nearly every week brings greater and greater harm to our law enforcement agencies. You are right about the protesters. That is almost as bad as the right wing religious nuts that use to protest at the funerals of war veterans because of something to do with gays in America.
I went through your past tweets and didn't see one mention of civilians killed by police. Not even thoughts and prayers? Are civilian lives worth less than police lives?
