This ambush of police should disturb us all. Sickeningly, protesters attempted to block the ambulance's entrance to the hospital, chanting, “We hope they die,” about the officers, one of whom is the mother of a 6-year-old boy.

This past weekend, 2 deputy sheriffs were ambushed while sitting in their patrol car in CA, suffering multiple gunshots before being rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. I wholeheartedly condemn this violent attack. My prayers are with these officers and their families.

Wishing and causing harm against police officers has to stop. It seems now that nearly every week brings greater and greater harm to our law enforcement agencies.
