.@shannonrwatts - a bris isn't a "baby-naming ceremony." It's is a sacred ceremony signaling the covenant between the 8-day-old Jewish infant boy & god. It also of course was Shabbat, our sacred day of rest-which I'm sure is why the murderer chose that day.Thank you.
I just tried to find reference to the baby being a girl, but the only specific info I found was "Congregants told MSNBC that a circumcision celebration, known as a bris, was taking place in the synagogue this morning."https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/active-shooter-reported-near-pittsburgh-synagogue-n925211 …

I read that article & others - none specify if the baby is a girl or boy."Naming ceremony" could be chosen by someone who doesn't know better. The article I linked to from NBC states *unequivocally* that congregants reported it was a circumcision of a boy infant. Why discount that?

I’m aware og the differences between the ceremonies. Recent media reports say it was a baby naming ceremony. Have a great day.

I admire you & am a supporter of Moms Demand. I didn't expect this convo would take such an odd turn. The only specific info about the child's gender is the NBC report, but you reject that. Why? I'm not accusing you of doing something terrible, I'm simply asking for accuracy.
