Q. #frailty In it's purest form w/force issues aside. Should geriatricians see all ages? Or frail >75yrs as well as all non frail >90yrs?

@Trisha_the_doc as time goes on I increasingly see the "young frail" and the "old frail" as very different populations.
Thinking of my disabled brother with Duchenne & my Granny aged 98 with dementia, their needs were very different.

Also my brother's Duchenne was very different from his friend's cerebral palsy. One frail, one not....

we see young frail people in need in
#hospitalathome but are OK to say no when diff specialty better -
either GIM or MOE, but neither of these is an ideal fit.

Very true indeed. The rehab docs don't do the acute episodes. Though maybe they should?
