Trump uses social media as a weapon to control the news cycle. It works like a charm. His tweets are tactical rather than substantive. They mostly fall into one of these four categories.

Trump is a meathead, but it’s a severe error when people take him as the gung-ho confident strategic type of meathead as opposed to the smooth-operating tactical kind. His strategy looks like a rubbish heap, but this is a tactical era.
