If that's a real quote and not journalistic distortion, it's pretty fucking damning.

There are some conversation excerpts in that article that seem purposely framed to make him look bad, like the part where he tries to explain how archetypal categories like witches and dragons are meaningful.

It wouldn't be the first time someone went out of their way to lie about him, and it wouldn't be the first time he put his foot in his mouth and then gnawed it 'til it bled.
I'm going to err on the side of caution, and let the terrible ideas he's admitted to stand on their own.
