Twitter's not going to like your tweet. We're supposed to see fascists as "the other", to be isolated and ostracized, and not as manifestations of impulses that live within us all.

Basic understanding of human nature (that is, taking human nature to be a thing at all) entails that Nazis are *mostly* just like us, as is anyone. Narcissists, sociopaths etc. too are just like us, albeit not neurotypical - but most are still monstrous predators to be fought.

That said impulses in the first person are something I've got inside me as well is one thing; among other things, it's a lesson and a warning. But as long as they are willing to put force behind those impulses and I am not, I prefer to share no place to stand whatsoever.

I would really not recommend operating under the "we're all the same" model when dealing with people who want to exploit and/or kill you. That is not to say I support disenfranchisement or censorship, by the way. Fuck that.
