It's also halfway to Iceland.

They spoke Norwegian. They were good passengers. We had a good vibe going in the car.

Svalbard is where rich people go to dodge tax payments. It's also pretty cool, from what I've heard.
Not meant in a terrible pun kind of way.
Also the only place in Norway you can buy beer for less than a dollar.

Sound like a good way to get filthy rich and be insanely bored (unless you like arctic nature - I mean, I probably wouldn't mind.)

They didn’t seem filthy rich, but they did suggest there’s a boredom issue there.

Yeah, well, when everybody is rich nobody is rich.
If they had money, they'd consider it very rude to flaunt it.

Even lower middle class Americans (and Polish people, as it's a thing here as well) frequently make me want to punch them in the face.
No consideration for *anyone* who seems like they might possibly be lower in the pecking order.
