It's basically impossible to use your brain/body well, let alone pleasantly, if you're scared, anxious or holding trauma chronically. Cannot be done.

Or, speaking from recent experience, if you're chronically fatigued - which also seems to default the body to anxious annoyance.

Yeah, not when you're householding or have a demanding job... at least not without training.

Well, in principle, one should be able to relax into it and keep doing whatever. It's a form of acceptance, while preferences remain.
Not saying it's easy. I can't do it. But I'm beginning to see it.

The step after that is simply acknowledging and dismissing it. I've started being able to do this with minor pain. The Zennies, who call it "penetrating" say it's far harder to do with tiredness than pain.
