For all the talk of acceleration, change at the societal level is glacial, intergenerational at best. That, more than anything, will cost us.

Well, that's what I meant. You get critical mass at generational shifts every few decades. But miss a generation? Good luck. We missed mine.

nah, the Millenial shift happens when Millenials are old enough to take political power en-masse + Boomers are dying retiring. That's 2020 -24. You can see the foreshocks with Corbyn and Sanders.

things need to change. And I think they'll change for the better, though who knows. But it isn't a sure thing and even if it is for the better, it won't all be for the better. Also, it varies by country.

A lot. Worryingly, most young people I meet from former Soviet countries are completely neoliberal in every sense of the word - including on war.
