It's much better than the recordings by his various friends and associates, where he mostly comes across as a jerk (without saying much of interest).

Personally, I think U.G. was one of those guys who get so far into presenting as an anti-bullshitter, he eventually developed a complete bullshit personality around it which sometimes distorted his more interesting ideas.
Sort of like Nassim Taleb, today.

UG was, as far as I can tell, a rather loathsome individual.
Also notable that he was a hypocrite who preached a "right way" to view this stuff while decrying all gurus as con men.
That said, he had a point. A good point.
But that doesn't absolve him of his own failings.
