Agreed. It's an effect whether it's predicated on illusion/distortion or not. It's absurd how many expensive "treatments" exist that do nothing placebo doesn't do, but are touted as "scientific" in some way while placebo is not.

Honestly I lean towards a solipsistic view of reality, sorry ;) 'Receiving' transmission, like any phenomenal activity is entirely subjective & of the nature of pure appearance, no other, only Self. So in all cases call it what u will. On this basis is any sensory input placebo?

(Was this one meant for me?) All I was saying is that people would denounce any attempt at telling them a truth that disagrees with their experience, so stuff like energy transmissions will remain off the mainstream unless something BIG happens. I have no ontological position.
