In every single case we’ve discussed, the phenomenon is known in the receiver, but there is no evidence of anything at all other than the effect. It points to the placebo explanation more than anything else to me.

However, if I observe a flash, and then my skin gets seared, I have a good reason to believe the searing came from the heat of the flash. With transmission, there is only the idea of the transmission, and then the effect happens.

Except I have experienced a physical effect

In which you only have the idea of something happening as a trigger, as you didn’t actually see or observe the transmission itself. Again, points to the general placebo effect to my eyes.

Yet I have observed the physical, energetic effects of various spiritual transmissions. Absolutely. No placebo, no imagination.

But you didn’t actually see those transmissions. You experienced an effect and have an idea of where it came from due to the fact you knew it was happening. Still doesn’t preclude the placebo explanation.

Pretty sure it does. There are many effects that go into producing sensory distortions (if that's your preferred angle); placebo only explains so much.

(I have no opinion on veracity vs. paraperception, in this case at least - just saying placebo is a relatively limited effect overall.)
