Well, as you know, I think there's a few way this can go. But the inflection point is coming. It lasted about 12 years last time. It probably started 2016-17 with Trump/Corbyn. (This is not to say they are the same, they are nothing alike, tha't what matters.)

But, it may be that the start isn't quite here. (MLK becomes big before inflection). Still I don't think the end of the inflection is later than about 32.

"for your lifetime" is about as much as you can expect. Well maybe "lifetime + 40 years". Defeating fascism is primarily about actually solving real problems another way. Make society work, people will turn from it.

history will end when humans end, and restart with the next sentient race. (Obligatory Tolkien/Gandalf quote.) And yeah, I think for a white male in N. Am, born 1930 is about ideal if you can avoid dying in Korea.

I was thinking on the "one does not choose one's time, but only what one does with it." Sadly, my life experience has been that one cannot proceed assuming allies will succeed, or even that who you think are allies actually are.

Tolkien had the advantage of an intuitive feeler's (in the Jungian sense) imagination of a world beautifully woven with signifiance - literally sung into existence. And not, you know, a burning cesspool predicated on some atmosphere, topsoil, and the right proximity to the sun.
