I agree. Police should be not have guns, like most police in Britain.

the level of pathology in the US may not be quite off the charts, but I can't think of another major country right now that is as fucked up socially. Even Russia doesn't manage it.

Yeah. I understand the people who argue the WRE comparison gets trite, but it's completely correct on this point.
