This is why I focus on my family and hobbies.
Well, a few more reasons than that. But it's a good one.
For now.
When people post their "Be really terrified about this specific issue, it's scary!"- or "Be very angry at this evil thing!"-type posts, I'm not ashamed to say I generally don't care.
It's not like me being upset will help anyone.

I know this kind of reasoning is anathema to certain types, because something something morality - but often the most effective help comes from those who don't care overmuch, personally.
Most emotional entanglements are only ever a hindrance. Confer parents "fixing" their kids.
