the former also seems like it would almost always be toxic tho. can you elaborate on an example in which it wouldn't be? running for political office and have no chance of winning if you don't affiliate with a well-known ideology?

Okay, so. I don't identify as feminist. Problematic label, weird expectations. Doesn't change the fact that I've always been aligned with some feminist faction or another on political issues. Not always the same one, rarely the dominant one. But I am not anti-feminist.
