To me the biggest tell is I don't hear scores of longing fans eulogize Apple and Steve Jobs anymore.
That enthusiasm is gone. Stolen by Elon Musk.

Sadly, Musk hasn’t done as much acid as Jobs had.
Nevertheless, he’s top choice for Nerd Emperor of Earth.

Musk does at least have a sense of humour. Never evident that Jobs did. While Bezos seems to have less warmth and glee than his warehouse robots.

I saw a picture of Bezos from the late 90s. He looks really charming and like someone I'd love to have as a friend. His pictures today look completely warmthless, as you say.
