Well, in a general sense no, but it's Christmas.
Don't need to give much for it to count if we get a 10x-1000x RoI before the bubble bursts.

I recommend just spreading it over a few big alt coins that are low in their price cycle, and leaving it for three months. Plenty to choose from fitting the bill.

I was thinking to put some in bitcoin as it seems to be the flagship for the moment - though that's a tenuous position - and some elsewhere.

This is a great time to get into altcoin market. Bitcoin might push again, but it's looking dicey. Simply holding it risks you losing money; an alt portfolio is *definitely* the way to go right now IMO.
