I’ll never understand how people can make fun of someone who is so obviously on the spectrum. It’s who he is. He’s very high functioning. People are cruel and without moral structure.
Sure, if you divorce a person both from the ethical implications of their actions and their material circumstances because they're "on the spectrum".
If anything, this view is more cruel & disparaging towards autistic people than memes about Zuckerberg could ever be.
I can tell by your use of quotes that you are not a believer that being on the spectrum is a “real” disease. I’ll continue no further and suffer your foolishness no more.
That's your own interpretation. What I actually meant is you're infantilizing everyone on the spectrum.
Mild asperger's is not such a severe dysfunction that you treat its sufferers with kid gloves.
But as you can neither stick to the point nor offer any defense of your bigotry
- akin to 19th century racists telling us not to judge "the negro" (note the quotes; I'm not a racist) on account of "his impaired moral character" -
yeah, we done.
All who are on the spectrum should be treated with respect and love, not just the ones you choose to be worthy. If he suffers from this he deserves respect as much as anyone. I have no bigotry. You are using that term much too broadly. The term bigot should be used so loosely.
Everyone should be treated with love and respect, including the people whose freedoms Zuckerberg is stepping on, voluntarily, Asperger's or not.
He's far too high-functioning to be treated as if this is not justification for a bit of satire. It's not *about* any illness of his.
