Some are. Others just work better for some than for others.

If you tell an extremely agreeable person that they need to cultivate compassion for all beings, congrats, you've just made an abuse victim.

That said, plenty of selfish & highly effective people need a massive injection of love-for-all to function without exploiting their peers.

If your path is utterly dependent on a certain reality tunnel and denies all others, maybe it isn't a path as much as an ideology. :)
