Sounds good, care to elaborate?

Recommendation I got from was to alternate between broad and deep attention in sitting meditation. So I did the following:
1
1
Sat on a yoga ball & bounced, listening to songs with strong bass or percussion, putting attention firmly and squarely on that.
1
1
Dissipative, take-in-everything moments between songs, then back to intense focus.
Only took 10 minutes to enter trance. By 30, ecstatic.

I suspect the bouncing yoga ball part helped. I have postural problems that make me shift around a lot while sitting. Distracting.

I've meditated daily in periods, ranging from 5 minutes a day to 3 or 4 hours a day. After 40 or so minutes, feels like I spent 2 hours.

And that's with more or less shambling into the "technique" by accident, on the spot, with a few breaks etc. in the middle.

Sounds great. Can you define "transe"? Did you get pointed focus with loss of awareness of other things around you?
1
Intensely pointed awareness, but also altered consciousness when zooming out between songs: crystal-clear, higher resolution than normal.
1
Altered perception of time, loss of sense of self... some of the usual suspects.

Towards the peak also started feeling intense waves of energy throughout the body, like a strong chemical effect or being in love as a teen.
Accompanied by the entire body feeling cooled down, then warmed up, then cooled down.

Sounds like you found a great spot to "retreat" when crap-overload happens. Thank you for sharing.
