What makes you think this generation has a focused attention span?

This may be the last generation that has a powerful tool like the Internet, and the focused attention span to do deep work.

If the answer is "well, some do," I sincerely doubt that will change by next generation.

I think he means "more do" and that phones/internet (esp smart phones) have destroyed that. Some evidence for that.

I think Gen-X, in dev world, might be last to truly know what it is to be alone, as a group. No cell phones, few cameras. Matters.
