Thinking back, I already felt it doesn't capture -exactly- what I meant. But it's very, very nearly it.
Not sure what's missing.
In my head, I see pundits, mainstream politicians, "opinion leaders" of the kind that produce boilerplate, columnists...

That's what I mean, or at least a big part of it.
The sin of most columnists seems to be taking their opinions a bit too seriously, though.
