1) those without insurance suffer
or
2) insurance payments are mandatory

The first is inhumane, the second is basically the same as a tax, except a proportion of contributions are creamed off as tax.

They seem willing to pay a lot more just to ensure that nobody gets anything free that's not literally life or death.

Actually even if it is a life or death issue, v people will basically say "well, you should have got rich before you got ill."

Pay more for less, but then the entire point is to enrich the insurers paying their politicians.
