Reason #1 for not going back to Norway is child protection services are out of control, taking children off European immigrants constantly.

Ironically it's one of the few bad things the state does very little of in Poland. We reported some abusive neighbours. They received help.

(We had to research it carefully to ascertain if we wouldn't end up harming the kid worse. The abuse was audible daily yelling. For hours.)

A Norwegian family has asylum in Poland b/c the state took their kid for a month.
Because the mom visited a psychologist, 15 years before.

Norway is being sued by Brussels this year. Will see how things develop afterwards. If Barnevernet gets curbed, maybe it makes sense to go.

It is a drain on the soul, esp. when you realize 50 dollars spent on a game, a few books or such is money you could have spent helping sbdy.
